COVID-19 new testing criteria 3/4/20
There has unfortunately been some misreporting in the media about the new testing criteria released by the Ministry of Health on 3/4/20. Despite what some media groups are saying, testing is still being restricted, but there has been widening of the criteria.

Shingles Vaccine Catch-up – Free for 65 to 80yrs until 31 March 2020.
Zostavax catchup at ages 65-80 until March 2020. After this date, only free at age 65 and not older.
15 month measles immunisations given at 12 months as of 11 June 2019
June 2019: During the current measles outbreak, children 12-15 months old should have their 15 month shots now

Fees and Services Update
From 1 August 2018 the consultation fee for enrolled adults will be $51. For enrolled children 13 to 17 years the fee will be $41. Children under 13 remain free.
Flu and Shingles Vaccines
Flu and Shingles vaccines are now available, and are funded in certain instances.

Trial of Appointments and Extended Hours Monday and Fridays
From January 2018 we will be offering appointments at selected times during the day, and be closing at 6pm on Mondays and Fridays (only one doctor from 5.30pm). Click for more details!
Jyoti Raj – New Practice Partner
Dr Jyoti Raj is now practice partner with Dr Andrea Steinberg. Dr Bevan Roy is no longer practising at Ellerslie Medical Centre. The team remains strong and committed to providing excellent quality medical and nursing care to our registered patient population.
Chicken Pox Vaccines
The chicken pox vaccine will be free for all children turning 15 months on or after the 1st of July. It will also be free for those turning 11 years if they haven’t had chicken pox or been immunised against it before.
HPV Vaccines
FREE HPV Vaccines (Gardasil) are now available for women AND men under 27 years old.
This helps protect you against cervical cancer, genital cancer and genital warts!
